Delta APC Constitutes Committee To Hear Primary Election Petitions

The in Delta State has announced the commencement of sittings by the National Assembly Primaries Appeal Committee to entertain complaints arising from the House of Representatives primary elections conducted across the ten federal constituencies of the state on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the party called on all aspirants dissatisfied with any aspect of the exercise to formally submit their complaints, petitions, or appeals to the committee for consideration.

According to the statement, the move is aimed at ensuring fairness, transparency, and confidence in the party’s internal democratic process, in line with the constitution of the party and guidelines approved by the National Working Committee (NWC).

The committee, which has already commenced sitting, is chaired by Dr. Chukwuemeka Ujam, while Hon. Linda Ibudialor, Hon. Binkur Nden, and Maikano Mohammed will serve as members. Rev. Hon. Chukwudi Madueke is to serve as secretary of the committee.

The sitting is taking place at the Delta APC State Secretariat located along WAEC Road, opposite the WAEC Office in on May 18, 2026.

The party urged aggrieved aspirants to embrace the lawful and peaceful avenue provided by the appeal committee in resolving disputes arising from the primaries, stressing that the APC remains committed to strengthening unity within its ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The statement further reassured all aspirants of a fair, transparent, and impartial appeal process, while calling on members to continue upholding the values of discipline, unity, and party supremacy.
